Ants - November Top 50 Scrapbooking challenge

Well this month Ant challenged us with doing a LO that included tearing technique and paint !!

I had fun with this one and decided to do a LO of my daughter Mia and her gorgeous little cousin Dane. As he came to visit us for a week in November after travelling from Brisbane. He was such a cute little fella and was sooo placid and always happy. Didn't mind his older cousins giving him lots of hugs and squeezes ...

I started with a lovely lemon cardstock and added a few splashes of hot pink kaisercraft paint. Then came some gorgeous creative memories papers, the tearing began I just ripped it up and stuck it on . As easy as that...lol I added some of my most favourite embellys to the page such as...
Charms creations gorgeous lovely flower, Agas Scrap this handmade bird and felt caption also some purple pumpkin tickets and string. Love how it turned out bright and vibrant.

The "Time is White" challenge for November was:

- create a layout using the word "TIME" as either part of your title / subtitle, or prominently in your journalling
- include a clock / watch somewhere on your LO

I used some blue spritz onto white cardstock with a doiley as a stencil and added some gorgeous embellishments ...
Such as Burdys Handmade embellys lovely flowers, Charms Creations Blue page runner, and Lovelybug bits n bobs cute little button. I also added some kaisercraft rubons and a Kaszazz clock stamp.

Lil miss M getting creative

Little Miss M loves getting creative!! Spent today playing barbies, dolls, mums and dads, shops and painting, drawing and beading :)

The weekend

FRIDAY was such a scorcher and I spent it cheering on my daughter for her sports day. It was so worth it though just to see her run, she did fantastic and came 1st in the relay. There team came second overall and she was pleased as punch most years they come last.

SATURDAY was such a beautiful day and we had the local Christmas parade there was about 55 floats and it seemed to take forever. But the kids just loooved it especially when they got to see the big red fella...

In the evening a friend came over and  we just chilled out and watched a dvd "Bridesmaids". What a crack up that movie is... Just love it!!

SUNDAY we went to have a look at a local craft market and I seen some lovely local work done by Charmane from Charms Creations and RinRinka Art by Bronny. My daughter had a jump on the jumping castle and painted a plaster mould and then we headed home for the arvo. We had a lovely evening bbq with just us and the kids.

I plan to spend some time scrapping over the next few days just waiting for some pictures to be printed from Harvey Normans but there machine has broken down.

So hopefully will have some scrappy LO to share with you all SOON!!!

This time of year is soooo busy for me! We own a gift shop and of course with Xmas around the corner it is just starting to buzz..... No time for scrapping just at the moment :(

Thought I would share with everyone what Ive been up to today with my busy day ....

With Xmas closing in fast we have been stocking up and have been getting ready for the BIG xmas rush!! I spent several hours today displaying some gorgeous "Serenade" handbags in our window and doing a Xmas window display. Cant see the tinsel or xmas decorations in this piccy though...lol

We also have these beautiful scrappy wooden carved albums that would make a beautiful gift. Not cheap though I should add.... We have bought 2 ourselves and had them personalised with names/dates as a wedding gift. Our friends just looved them :)

Anyway better get off here and finish my housework before another long day tomorrow.

Girls night in at "Charms"

Last weekend I headed off to Charmanes for a girls night in fundraiser for breast cancer. I arrived at 6pm exhausted from a long day at work and couldnt wait to get into a glass of bubbles. There wasnt any shortage of that everyone had bought some along I managed to find some PINK bubbles for the occasion and some strawberries. Her family had been extremely busy organising lots of delish food enough to feed an army. I think there probably still eating the left overs now!!! lol  The rice was AMAZING something Ive never tasted before... Must try bribing Charm for that recipe maybe I need to buy her some more bubbles to get those yummy Sri Lankan secrets.

Anyway after we stuffed ourselves silly on food and drinks it was time to get into some scrapping!! My new trolley to carry everything worked a treat too. Typical blonde me missed read the invite and only thought it was for a few hours so decided to just take a small project knowing I wouldnt have much time (Chrissy cards) Yep thought it was time to get started. Guess the big jolly man will be here before we know it :) I managed to make a few and did a little more when I got home over the following days. You will find below a little sneak peek of my cards..

It was a very enjoyable night met lots of new people and had a few laughs or two. Headed home later than expected and was soo tired I was out like a light as soon as my head hit the pillow!!

My Scrappy Christmas cards

Thinking I might pop them on the counter at our giftware shop to sell. As over Christmas we often have people wanting a card or two and we dont stock them normally.

It's SHOW time !!!!

Two weeks ago we went to the local Show and the kids had a fantastic time. Just love the smell of popcorn, donuts and fairyfloss...Mmmm Yummo!!  They only had one ride each ,one turn at the clowns and got one show bag each. Couldnt believe it still cost a small fortune but it was worth it just to see the excitement in little miss 3year olds eyes. Luckily my eldest son was away in Geelong at the time one less to pay for. It was really the first time for little missy at the show being old enough to know what it was all about. Her request was for a  "Fairies" show bag and her face painted as a rainbow butterfly. Aww how sweet... Oh and ooops not to mention the fairyfloss!!

Here the kids are in the animal tent having a little hold of the chickens..

All ready to go on the PARATROOPER ride... he he... First time for little miss didnt realise it went up SO high and around SO fast!! Wished I could have gotten a better action photo her face was just pure GOLD

Here they are UP UP and AWAY!!!!  lol

So proud of her rainbow butterfly face , Not sure about it myself looks kinda strange..lol

We normally go every second year , but the plan is to start saving our bottles and cans over the next year and recycle them at the depot so we can have HEAPS of rides next year!! Last time we cashed them in we got $90 doesnt take long to add up :)
